Controlling the heat and humidity when printing

The summer months can make it challenging for screen printers as ink applications can be affected by heat and humidity. A hygrometer is an instrument used for measuring the moisture content in your work space. There are several ways to control the humidity; using a dehumidifier – which removes moisture from the air, an air conditioner, and a basic fan are a few ways to cool the air. Bottom line: be proactive and monitor the relative humidity and temperature in your printing space on an ongoing basis to prevent damage to your printers, inks and final product.
